Welcome to Lower Nicola Indian Band Fire Department

Our fire hall, built in 1995, is the heart of our community’s fire and emergency services. From this station, we proudly serve with a fleet that includes two fire engines, two rescue trucks, a command truck, two initial attack trucks, and two side-by-sides.

We are staffed by five dedicated full-time members, supported by a team committed to protecting lives, property, and the environment. Whether responding to fires, medical calls, or rescue situations, our department is always ready to answer the call.

We are proud to offer a Junior Firefighter Program for participants under the age of 18. This program provides hands-on experience, valuable training opportunities, and a chance to learn what it takes to be a firefighter.

  • The same hiring process applies as with our paid on-call positions (application, interview, and fitness test).
  • Summer programs are available for those interested in gaining experience during school breaks.
