What is a Community Profile?

This Community Profile provides a 'snap shot' of current conditions in our community. In addition to looking at what is happening now in Lower Nicola, this profile provides some direction on areas that we may need to pay special attention to in our Comprehensive Community Plan. Most of all, this document is meant to share information with members on how we are doing as a community and help get discussions going about how we want to develop and grow.

What is Community Planning?

Community planning is an in-depth process that identifies the strengths and challenges in our community, and develops action steps for achieving our goals. At this stage of the LNIB community planning process, we have developed a Community Profile and have done preliminary Community Scoping work. Community Scoping relies on input from band members and research to develop a “road map” that will guide our community through the rest of the larger planning process, and toward a healthy, prosperous future.
